Martyn Cooper, FETA Commercial Manager
Martyn Cooper is currently Commercial Manager at FETA, having joined them in May 2015 after a 37 year long career in the plastics and chemical industries.
Martyn joined the Plastics Division of ICI in 1978, initially working in the development department, before moving into Sales and Marketing roles. He then moved into ICI Chemicals and Polymers as a Techno-Commercial Manager, before joining ICI KLEA in 1992. Martyn was involved in the sales and marketing of refrigerants, initially as a UK Account Manager.
He then moved into a number commercial positions with ICI’s antecedents, Ineos Fluor and Mexichem Fluor. His final position was Regional Sales Manager for Northern Europe, with responsibility for market development of lower GWP refrigerants.

I have been in the heating industry over 50 years.
Trained as a combustion engineer and spent my early years at Aeromatic Gas Burners, where I had responsibility for Development of a range of domestic and light commercial burners.
Moved on to Lochinvar – manufacturers of domestic and commercial water heaters and boilers and was Technical Director for a number of years.
After a period of early retirement, I joined Hoval Ltd, manufacturers of commercial and industrial boilers as Operations Manager and was there for five years before taking my current position as Director of ICOM Energy Association. ICOM is a Trade Association which represents the major equipment manufacturers in the Industrial and Commercial sectors of the heating industry.
Wayne Terry, Membership Director
Building Engineering Services Association (BESa)
With a career built around compliance and certification, Wayne brings a wealth of experience to the building engineering services sector.
Starting life in the gas industry back in the seventies, Wayne has worked both nationally and internationally. As the previous Head of NICEIC Certification, Wayne has represented Certification Bodies at the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), and also represented the UK on behalf of BSI on ISO 17024 & 17027 standards committees.
Wayne has extensive knowledge of the electrical and energy markets, having hands-on experience of carrying out electrical safety and energy audits in India, as well as Product Certification (ISO 17065) in China.
As membership director for the Building Engineering Services Assocation, Wayne is passionate about sharing best practise and technical excellence, as well as promoting the importance of accreditation and compliance for all who work within the sector.
Tom Garrigan, BSRIA Test House Manager
Tom joined BSRIA in 2007, and is the business manager of the test department. His major area of work covers leading the testing of HVAC products within the BSRIA laboratories providing manufacturers, contractors etc Internationally recognised standard and bespoke performance data covering the requirements of local and European quality/incentive schemes as well as CE marking.
Tom participates in industry working groups developing methodologies for the testing of HVAC equipment for both the European and US market. He is a member of the Institute of Refrigeration and the UK representative for the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) Technical Working Group.

Stephen Gill is an energy efficiency and sustainability consultant specialising in the built environment.
An active industry figure, Stephen is also Chair of the CIBSE-ASHRAE Group, and President of the IOR. Stephen is also a previous award-winner at the HVR Awards.
